Most databases can be accessed from the Main Campus without the
requirement for additional authentication procedures. To use subscribed
databases off-campus configure your web browser for FCU proxy to
be authenticated as an FCU user. Off-campus access to licensed databases
is available only to current Feng Chia University students, faculty and staff. This proxy service does NOT
permit access to the electronic resources in the Library
Only or Campus Only categories
due to access eligibility or technical constraints. Please be aware
of User’s
Liability when using electronic resources.
Instructions for Configuring Your Web Browser
Open your web browser and go to Automatic Proxy Configuration by
using the following URL:
http://proxy.lib.fcu.edu.tw/proxy.pac
Access Authentication
Once configuration has been completed, you will be asked for your
username and password to access to the database. Enter full Employee/Student
ID number as your username and the last four numbers of your ID
number (e.g. Alien Resident Certificate ID number) as the password.
Then, you can use the database just as you do on campus.
【Note】
1. Password for authentication cannot be changed.
2. Link to the database via library database list instead of bookmarking.
