How to Find Books
FCU
Library Catalog (FCU WebOPAC) is your first choice when
looking for books. You may search a book by title or author. You
can also search by keywords, subjects or even classification numbers
of the book. When you find the book you need, check for its status
to see if it is checked out. If it is on the shelf, you can locate
it according to the call number. If it is an electronic book, you
can access the book on campus by clicking the link.
If
addition to the Library Catalog, you can search electronic books
by searching E-Books databases.
E-Books databases provide different function from library catalog,
not only can you search in the bibliographic information, such as
title or author, but also search in the content of the book. You
can read the full-text online as well.
What should I do if the library
does not own the book?
If the library does not own
what you need, you can request the book through Interlibrary
Loan or Nationwide
Document Delivery Services.
To see which library owns
the book you need, you can search individual library catalog. However,
it is better to use Union
Catalogs of National
Bibliographic Information Network (NBINet). The way to search
this tool is the same as searching FCU
WebOPAC, and you can learn which library owns the book from
the search results.
